Hello all.
Sorry I haven't posted in a while. The truck runs like a raped-ape. I don't have the blower back on yet due to having to change a couple of things on the motor...

-BHJ balancer
-99 timing cover
-LDC water mod
-Meziere electric water pump
-New O2's
-8 rib pulleys
and some other goodies...

Just ordered the Troyer performance valve body and Mag Hytec pan for the tranny.

The 5.4 feels like it has as much torque N/A as the 4.6 did with 12# of boost! Torque is on demand , not that far above idle. Night and day difference.

wait till you put the procharger in it... you'll probably lose boost over the 4.6 but it'll be worth it (might want to start saving for another pulley)

I was running a 3.70 on the 4.6, so I should be close to about 10psi on the 5.4. Looking to switch it to 8 rib on the charger like I did on the motor, thats why I had to go from the 04 6 rib timing cover to the 99 timing cover. Made a world of difference.

check out the thread about converting the prochrger to an 8 rib drive system

is very possible either shim your mount forward and run a lightning crank pulley or have a custom crank pulley made

It's pretty easy. I got a 12x9x1/2 inch 6061 aluminum plate and am fabbing an additional plate to bolt to the motor, then bolt the pro-charger bracket to it. The pics I posted are a mock up of the setup to get the charger sitting right. (check my albums and you will see that I have the charger bracket G-clamped to the new bracket). I will post more pics of the new bracket soon.

Have you thought about changing the intake manifold? Sullivan makes a great intake for those DOHC 5.4s. Here is a picture...

All you would need is a wilson elbow..

And of course a new throttle body. It would sure clean up the top of that engine. And from lurking over at nloc.net, this is what it would all look like installed...

the sullivan is nice but on a street truck with low boost and centrufigal the stock octopus intake will outperform it until 5500rpms expecially as he's running the stock navi cams

Bingo. Don't put a race intake on unless you are building a race motor. Even then people often make the mistake of using an intake like that when they aren't turning the rpm to take advantage of it and would have gone faster with something different. On a 5.4 you'd probably want to be shifting at least 6500 rpm to use a Sullivan...

My thoughts exactly, I looked at the sullivan piece but decided to stay with the stocker for that reason. I have around 90% of my torque at about 1750rpm with the octopus!
