2004 5.4L PCM trouble

Angry 2004 5.4L PCM trouble

Can anyone tell me how to remove the PCM in a 2004 F150 5.4L?

Uh...disconnect the three connectors and remove the four 10mm bolts holding it to the bracket on the firewall next to the battery.

But why do you want to remove the PCM?

Long story short... I accidentally installed an edge programmer that was not set to mode zero. I took the truck to Ford, they say it is fried and want a grand to fix it. I am going to get the p/n off mine, find another one at a recycle yard or somewhere else, reprogram it and install it.

Plan on then having it towed to a dealer for programming.....

yeah, $165 to program after $250 for the new PCM... beats the grand they wanted to do the whole thing... thanks for the help guys, should have it running again soon...
