okay, I'm prolly posting in the wrong section, but I'm wondering if anyone has heard of an issue with the 4x4lo light coming on in the dash? I'm driving an 08 fx4 with only about 3000miles and I don't have a dash light coming on for 4x4lo. My 4wd works, but only the 4x4hi light stays on, despite shifting into 4x4lo.. any comments?

The correct section is Other Powertrain.

warranty issue, gotcha.. well im curious.. does having a lift affect anything with 4x4 or warranty in that area?

yea.. the 4x4hi engages and the light comes up, but when I go to 4x4lo the 4x4hi light stays on

 

Mine was doing that. I found out that it was staying in 4HI. You have to stop the truck and put in neutral to get it to shift. You can't shift on the fly into 4LO like in a Jeep.

 

ahh.. gotcha.. guess i didnt read my manual.. lol, only tried shifting at a stop while in drive.. gonna have to go check that one out

 

Also need to be stopped in and in N to come out of low range.
