i usually drove my 4.6 kinda hard..had loud pipes on it and wanted to be seen....so i got 14.3 mpg...well i lightened up the foot and slowed down a tad (keep it under 2000 and set the cruise at 70 on the 30 minute drive to work) and it went up to 17.3 and i just put converters back on it so that should be good for a little more mpg so much for "babying it and you only gain 1 mpg)

 

my truck stayed right between 12 and 13mpg (around town) no matter how hard i drove it. i just put a cai on it so i'm gonna see what it does for me.

 

humm not me..if im heavy on the gas i notice the drop in milage...if im easy on it..seems like i never run outta gas lol drove on a full tank for 2 weeks

 

Yea, they really love gobbling up the gas when you nail it -specially the 5fours - If you baby it - HUGE difference.

 

yea i got the 4.6 and its a 3mpg difference which is pretty dang good to me..lookin at 75 more miles on a tank..which is savin me a little under 20 dollars!!! gas is down to 3.80 here now!!! and its still outrageous

 

it is slowly going down here. lowest i see for low grade is 3.91 and highest is 4.01. i just go to the shell stations for "thursdays five cents off all fuel".

 

There was one station that went down to 3.83 while the other stayed at 3.91for just a day. It was crazy - There was a line at the lower priced station and maybe 1 or 2 cars at the other.. For an 8 cent per gallon dif ??? Man are people pinching.

I guess they use give us gas cards @ work here that use to be between 3 - 5 grand annually until they caught people abusing that privilege. It was for us and No one else. Well people had family members/friends filling up and that put at end to that real quick - That was before I started here dangit!
