'98 4.6l with 115K. How extensive tuneup would you do?

Hate to say it, but you should have used Motorcraft wires. I hope you used Motorcraft plugs.........

Sure should have, and I don't you didn't hate to say that $180 vs. $110 and I thought Borg had a good reputation. I did use MC plugs!

That's kinda steep for Motorcraft wires. The Ford dealer only slammed me $120 for a set for my V6 and I thought that was nuts.

Your V8 wire set is $80 at rockauto.com - Motorcraft WR5934. Mine are 50 bucks there.

Finally pulled the wires and replaced with Belden (Napa) after it came off again and I had to keep driving, causing the wire to arc 2 holes in the boot. Got my money back. Funny thing is the retailer just discontinued that wire...

So far, so good.
