when i first got the truck aobut two months ago.....i noticed that when the truck hit 4k rpms the battery light would do its thing.....the truck had never seen above 2k rpms with the previous driver (my dad) so he would have never known the problem......i told him and he agrees with the alternator.....my ac has not suffered to my knowledge but it my steering did get a little tougher but that happened the day i got my rims and tires (really fat tires) so thats why the steering was a little stiffer....

 

My light came on at higher RPM's for several months before it started comming on full time. I took it to our shop (work truck) where they replaced both the alt. and the battery ... mechanic said the bad alt. "fried" the battery.

 

well thank you for being the savior to my problems.....finally a straight forward answer lol......na everyone helped me alot but thanks ima go get my alt replaced tomorrow!
