Hey guys and gals,
I am going to want to do some more performance mods. I just dont have any idea what to do. I dont want to go crazy extreme(at least yet). This is and will be my daily driver, my wife drives it too. I have a 2006 XLT 5.4 4x4 3.73 LS rear end and 26,000 miles. I have an Airaid intake system, magnaflow exhaust, and Gryphon programmer. I have been reading some threads and cant figure out what my options even are. I dont want to go blown, just some milder mods like cams, pulleys etc. It seems like there arent many guys doing things like that.

My question is what are you guys running and what kinds of performance gains and costs would I expect with each? Keep in mind I am not handy, and will most likely have a local shop install. Thanks for your help!!

u could try the search..

cams are good but you might as well get new heads with those..u should see a huge increase in power 80+hp..pulley's are good to free up some hp along with efans..headers r always a good choice as well you see about 30hp or so with those..

 

putting just cams in a 5.4 wont gain you over 15hp... get long tubes and efans.

 

Do they make Aftermarket heads for 06' 5.4?

 

no they just port and polish factory heads

 

So you can get 80 hp from just polishing them?

 

80+hp from heads and cam..not just either or
