luckythirteen13: don't know if you knew beforehand, but the secret on the passenger's side is to feed the header up from the bottom.

imho, import ricer sh*t is the most *** backwards engineering EVER!

it wasn't getting the headers in and out that was hard, it was getting to the studs. i have decent sized hands and i weigh 240lbs so trying to get myself into the necessary positions that was the hard part. but ya your right, the headers hat to be installed from below. my truck is lifted tho so there was no need for a jack

what do the Japs care? They don't work on 'em either. They just go buy another one after a year or two. What the heck--they're made of $$$$. If it ain't built in Japan, it's built in China.

My dad's '01 5.3L Silverado is a lot easier to work on then my 5.4L (I haven't really done any work on the 5.4L though). He's got a lot more room under the hood...

I think its just cause they get it right, so they wanna make it so noone f**ks with it and causes problems, like the Chevy people that gotta modifty every inch of it.

My old '05 Silverado 2500HD 6.0L had alot of room under the hood, 364ci gas Vortec even, they dont throw alot of bulk under the hood on the GMs which is kinda cool. Atleast I could see the spark plugs there.
