Mobil-1 at every 7,000. Same thing since 2006 in all vehicles. Actually very clean (city driving) at each change. Normal filter.

Amsoil 0W30 and Amsoil filter....Once a year/10,000 miles. I have Amsoil in every single component on every single vehicle I own. Can not beat it and can not go wrong.

My friends & I, with American & Japanese vehicles, all use Royal Purple + K&N Filter.

Dealership oil change with Motorcraft 5W/20 and filter every 5,000 miles.

Only cost me $28 and the oil still looks like "honey" with 5K on it.

BTW - Why does the dealership always seem to overfill the motor oil? No matter what I say, I always find it a 1/4 to 1/2 overfilled.

Motorcraft 5-20 and Motorcraft Filter at every 5,000 miles in my 2007 5.4. In my 1997 5.4 I used Motorcraft 5-30 and Motorcraft Filter at every 5,000 miles and it went 147k before I traded it in on the 2007 F150 and it had no problems.

I switched to Mobil 1 5W-30 at 30K. I change it every 3K. Truck is a 97 5.4L and has 236K on it now. Runs great. My DD is now a 2006 Trailblazer SS. Came from the factory with Mobil 1 5W-30 in it. It has a 6.0L Corvette motor in it. I decided to extend my changes to every 5K with this. It currently has 73K on it and runs great as well. Both vehicles take 6 quarts. Sam's Club and Costco sell 6 Quart cases for under $30. I change it myself and use Motorcraft for the F150, and AC Delco for the SS.

Has anyone tried the Valvoline Full Synthetic Max Life oil? Currently I'm using their normal 5w-30 synthetic oil,but the syn. Max Life came out not to long ago and has a better additive package IMO as far as the anti-wear agents go as it has some molybdenum disulfide added (.028 by weight) but I really don't know what the other stuff is,lol.

Why do you say that?

I used to use Mobile 1 synthetic but had a lot of people telling me the Valvoline is better. Oh and I know it seems over critical, but I change my oil every 2500 miles, and use a K&N filter.

WOAH THERE!! Nothing wrong with valvoline! I've used it in many vehicles. I currently use the motorcraft 5-20 syn blend and motorcraft filter in my f150. Right there on the shelf at walmart!

Fram oil filters on the other hand are about as good a toilet paper in a can!!

I used Valvoline in an 02 Silverado, it never used oil. I would be using it in my Ford if the dealer didn't offer such a great deal on oil changes.

Yeah there was a point made all right. It was that no one should listen to you.

I use Castrol Syntec 5-20. I love it! No problems yet! I do use a Motorcraft Oil filter, I just think that the engineers wanted that one, or else they would have picked something different.
