When is the next group buy Troyer Efans???

Just wanted to see if there is any interest out there for a group buy from Troyer on their Dual 16" Efans??? The last group buy was back in December for $379+shipping.

I think people are waiting to get confirmation that the issue they were having with the controllers has been fixed. Last I heard TP was still working with the manufacturer on the issue. You might want to email or call them to find out for sure.

Mine have not melted yet. But one of the controllers broke. The fan would turn on with the truck and never turn off. My engine was being cooled whether it needed it or not.

Customer service was very good from Troyer. They rushed off a replacement switch to me immediately, along with a Return Merchandise Authorization #, and they gave me a whole month to replace my switch and send back the disabled one. Of course, I also understood that they were just selling me the unit and it was not something that they actually produced themselves.

Do you have a contact phone# for the DC controller guys? I paid for mine almost a month ago and other than getting the receipt# in an email I have heard nothing more from them. I've sent at least 4 emails requesting an update and have heard nothing. There is no phone# listed on their website.

I don't think there is a phone # for them. I waited about 4 to 5 weeks for mine, they seem to be the best controller out there right now and they are VERY busy...they are worth the wait !

look at it this way. the company is in california, i live in california and it still took 3-4 weeks to get my controller. you live in canada so the wait will be much longer. be patient, itll come

What a lousy way to do business. What if you need an immediate replacement? Who has the luxury of not needing to use their truck for 3, 4, 5, or 6 weeks while patiently waiting for a part?

Me.

If it's in the summertime I would be using the A/C all the time anyway so I would just wire it up so that the fans are on all the time until I got my new controller. You can get relays real cheap at lots of different places.

Worst-case scenario is reinstall the fan clutch and fan until you get your parts.

It's not the end of the world.
