Radiator Electrolosys (sp?) God &$%# Electric Fans
It has nothing to do with e-fans.
I guess you pretty much need a digital meter - I get nothing on an analog . I tried 2 5fours and a 4.2L and got no readings ..Just farting around - I guess I can't complain. I'll pick up a cheap Digital GB Instrument/meter today at Carquest today - see how long this one lasts. Maybe I'll keep this in the house
It's funny - My computer always works in the shop - But alot of electrical sh^t didn't make it thru the winter out there. Even the air gauges lol- I just went thru them, trying to find one that's acurate - there all f'ed up. Even the Miltons aren't working right - This sucks - My bad - I turned the heat off out there for two months this year. That must be why damnit!!

Yea , I have an old Kennedy analog meter my dad gave me along time ago - It's so old it has a solid wood case w/felt lining lol - I bet it cost a pretty penny back then. It's always worked great. I need a good digital one. I still use that Kennedy quite a bit - Worked great to troubleshoot my furnace circuit board this winter and /computer MB/Monitor/TV - Many PCB's in the past. I do have to break down and get a good digital one lol.

Haha , that's cool, - I just picked up a catalog Henry gave me @ Carquest - Man I cannot believe all the diagnostics gadgets out there today.
My brother just purchased a Merc. Mountaineer - Blows my mind how far they have come in electronics and hands free, voice activated devices. Damn , he can change stereo channels and make a phone a call by just asking for it in that thing lol.
The scary part of that is that it's inter connected to the web. I have a feeling theres a new era of problems in the mist. A stand alone program is one thing and the engineers have got that down pretty good, but a connection to billions of outside sources will leave all that vulnerable IMO.
Anyway , Hell - I'm lookin for a meter here in the catalog and can't find a simple multi-function one. Might have to fish around on-line.
what about a fluke multimeter? great quality meters. i picked up the 115, heres a link

Is that the brand name to look for ? I think so - I would rather get something reliable. Those cheap ones really have poor quality circuit boards I 've noticed.
I need a new solder station as well.
fluke is a damn good name, my dad has had one of the older digital meters for years, i just bought my own cuz i needed something that would get me more in depth than his would. fluke is a name thats widely accepted as a quality instrument in electrical maint. my dad has been a food processing plant mechanic and has either used one or co-workers have used a fluke. been in that line of work for over 30 years now.
i was talkin with MSD about my coil packs and they even said fluke is probably one of the best brands, just takes some time with learning their products.
