Lack of power! NHSTA Recall #15932
This is my truck! It doesn't give a great description, but it seems like my truck got punched in the stomach. It just put put puts around now. I replaced the spark plugs, and it seemed to help out, but it still is in some type of choke hold. Anyone else have this issue? It is a TSB, so I would assume.
GAAAAAY.
Clucking on shifting.
Another thing. I've been reading about people having a "clunking" noise when shifting from 1 and 2. I have a clunking from P to D. The only time it clunks, any ideas?
High pitched harmonic noise
And as I posted before...
https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=326100
But after doing more research there are TSB's for high pitched noise from the power steering and "tube bypass air flow."
WTF
Someone shed some light please!!!!!!!
I should just trade it in anyway !

Lack of power- Do a full tune up, change the fuel filter, a set of COP's wouldn't hurt, clean the maf, and upper plenum etc.
Clunking-remove driveshaft and grease splines.
Noise-try bleeding the P/S, and doing a fluid change.

Clunking noise: Find a level piece of ground, chock your wheels, put truck in neutral, roll, slide, shimmy under until you can see the driveshaft, at each u-joint get a good hold of driveshaft and push up and down, and sideways if you can, if there is ANY movement in the u-joint replace it. If you don't find any that move, it could be the inputshaft or yoke on the diff or transfer case. if you see any oil stains around the seal, check to make sure the yoke has not come loose, sometimes there will be small trails of oil spidering out form the washer/retaining nut that holds the yoke to the input shaft if it is loose, (do the same checks on the output of the transfer case), if everything is tight, you may want to get the end play and lash checked by a gear shop, unless your comfortable doing it your self. Some dealer service departments will give you the specs, then all you need is a magnetic dial indicator.
Hope this helps to find it.

And it is an absolute shame that the shotgun approach is needed. Great for those selling parts. Bad for Detroit because it sends more to buying foreign.
E_Net, TECHDOC hasen't been around for awhile, about a year or so. But yea, you never know, he may have pinned an alert on this thread. If so, that had to be done over 5 years ago tho.
