Don't fall in love with E85 too much till you see what it does to your gas mileage.

That bad? What about engine wise (parts failing sooner)?

$135 x 4(every 25k)= $540. If Champion Double Platinums last 4x as long(or even 3x as long), then the extra few bucks will still save you a lot of money compared to the Brisk plugs. Brisk needs a platinum plug. If they had them, they would fly off the shelf.

Depending on the vehicle, mileage on E85 will be anywhere from 7% to 40% less than on 87 gas.

I don't think there would be any higher parts failure rate - the entire fuel system on the FFV's is different and made with materials that are ethanol-resistant.

Hey DK, have you checked back and got your plugs yet? I’m surprised they are getting out so fast! It was just over a month ago, they announced this plug!

This is great; I’m still shopping for a new truck, hopefully another F150!

I don’t think that would be an issue, the extended skirt/shell is 10mm and the thread portion is 14mm, I don’t think there is even enough space in the combustion chamber to build-up that much carbon.

There is enough carbon build up to hold the extension in the combustion chamber. So while the one piece will definitely not pull apart it may coat the threads with traces of carbon. Time will tell....

I haven't check back with them yet. I'll probably call them this weekend. I'm not holding my breathe, I don't think the guy behind the counter really knew when they were coming in but they are on order. Just a waiting game.
But at least O'reilly's had a price, Advance just showed the plug in there system but did not have a price yet.

Well I just called the store to see if they can get the plugs and they said yes. They will be in by the time I get off of work so I can go pick them up today. I plan on trying to get it in to the dealer next week for the change.

Somebody please get and try out these new Champion plugs b/c if they work, I'm getting s/u next week for a change out. I called the O'Reilly's here in Augusta and they can order them for $21 a piece from Nashville Tenn..

05' 5.4 4x2 White Screw, flowmasters staight out the back. I work downtown so always hauling butt on I20 from Appling to Augusta. The roadwork at Bobby Jones is killing me. Speeding tickets thru the construction area b/n 500-800 bucks. Good to see locals on here.........

I asked my service manager bout this plug and he said he's never seen a Champion plug run very good in a Ford engine.He also said what some have said in earlier posts that a 1 piece may not break but would probably strip threads if it stuck also and there's no tool to get them out, which means pulling the heads.Right back to the same costly situation.

If they follow the TSB removal procedure, a one piece plug should not get stuck, you still have to follow the removal procedure with a one piece design! Your service manager is feeding you a bunch of Crap to keep you under his thumb!....I would never deal with him again!.....

Well you guys aren't going to believe this. I went to Oreillys to pick up my plugs and guess what. They couldn't get them. The reason why, a feakin Ford dealer bought all 192 plugs out of their warehouse a couple of hours before I called. The manager said the warehouse now has 195 on backorder and not sure when he'll be able to get his hands on them but will check around.

In the mean time I just purchased them online from sparkplugs.com They have them for $16.23 each with ground shipping @ $11.28. So as long as these are not on backorder too I should have plugs next week.

As far as these plugs screwing up the threads that will probably only happen if you leave them in for 100K miles. I plan to pull them every 20K to 30K miles to see what they look like and clean them off if needed.
