My kid tore it up !!
nope im going up there with my shortys on so i can get a before LT's and after LT's its 75$ for 2 pulls so after the long tubes are installed im going to make a pull with cut outs closed and a pull with the cut outs-out *open headers* and see if it chages HP. the dyno tuning is a ways off thats mid summer some time. After i but these LT's ive only got 100.00 left in my bank account. My green dot card Just got here yesterday gotta go to CVS and put my 350.00$ on there and order my LT's cut outs and some nice clamps....will i need extenders to make my front o2's fit into the LTs?? Thanks for all your help Jbrew

Yes you need extenders - I just made my own. But if you don't have the stuff to do that - get extenders..
Keep this in mind - From the factory your tuned for a factory exhaust. To get the full potentential of an exhaust mod you need to get it custom tuned for it after an install. That's when you'll feel real improvment.
http://www.ninosport.com/BBK-Oxygen-...=2&category=86 Will those extenders work?? and i found a SCT Xcal tuner close to me its 250 for a chip with 3 tunes. 350 for a flash with 3 tunes and 100 dollars for an hour of dyno tuning. i would want the flash one over the chip. and is it worth it for the dyno tunning?? 450 dollars for 3 tunes and my truck will be dyno tuned for an hour of tuning. Does that sound like a good deal??

they dont make long tubes for 4.6' u got to buy 5.4 long tubes and bend them to fit around the bell housing also trim the top of the motor mount. took about 4 hours to install including making the O2 extenders and fabing up the rest of the exhaust.

No, you should have ordered these - http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/de...P40702226.html
The 99 and 97 are Identical.

haha the lightning and regular F150 headers are totally different. because the 4r100 is so much bigger transmission that site is bogus! dont buy em.
So here is the thing. While the 4R100 is a bigger tranny the bell housing is not. It still has to fit the 5.4/4.6 engine. There are a few 4x4 with the 4R100 out there with out any modifications to the exhaust system. The only fitment problem I could see if the o2 sensor hitting the driveshaft on the driver side. So buy a bung and plug and weld it on in a location that will not interfere with the driveshaft and use the plug to fill the empty bung. I used Neal's 5.4 shorties on my 4.6 and they fit. I had to modify my collector on the 4.6 exhaust but it still fit. The tight side was the passenger side. The collector came very close to the transmission at the bellhousing at the collector. The driver side was fine because Ford designed the exhaust with the idea of it fitting around the front driveshaft.
