My advise would be, POST THIS IN THE TRANNY FORUM or the LIGHTNING FORUM. Happy New Year!

If you put a shift kit in.You will need to put your stock settings back in for the tranny!

What would you be doing with the truck? If you are happy with what the Edge has done, I wouldn't worry about putting a shift kit in unless you have a lot of HP going into the tranny.
The choice is yours. I would ask if the money is worth the performance and is it warranted. As Phil6608 mentioned, if you do put one in make sure you change everything back to stock as far as the tranny goes with the Edge.

go for the factory tech C-plate from Mike Dunn, it's great

and yes you'll have to re tune it for the stock shifting firmness in the tune or else it'll give you whiplash

Yes, I would agree, go with the Factory Tech plate and put shifts back like they were. It will be just fine as far as firmness goes. Now if you want the shift points higher, you may want to adjust that, but the shifts will be definitely firm and quick with the Factory Tech Plate. I like mine.....just read up on it. Theres one stock spring you put back in or it will be too hard of a shift. I did that and mine is perfect with that stock spring used.

A shift kit isn't going to add any HP, so you won't notice an increase in power, but you will notice your transmission does not drag with those slow mushy shifts. When it changes, you'll know it goes into gear and it may feel like its accelerating better because it shifts faster and goes into gear rather than dragging on forever. It will be a seat of the pants gain, not an actual gain. It will feel better because the shifts are firm, and not like your riding the cluth so to speak.
