throttle position sensor
Finally
After several failed attempts I was able to complete the TPS adjustment to
.989 and man those screws are a PITA to the third power. I stripped the top one and had to cut a slot in it but got it off. The second one stripped also but after cutting the slot it still would only come out a few turns. I ended up stripping the head of the screw all the way off then removing the TPS and getting the screw out with a set of vice grips. End result is a increase in throttle response. I put 8mm bolts in place of the screws so there will be no future problems.

A few other thing real quick while this subject is up. Make sure that both ends of the plug for the tps are completely clean with no corrosion. Like said earlier, keep it under .99 but its recommended to set around the .94 range. Also, I would recommend that after you get done, unhook the battery for about 10 minutes and it will reset the computer, atleast that is how its done on the 5.0's and and after checking this out, they are set up the same and have the same adjustment settings and all. Hopefully that helps a little.
