Cool I never new it's purpose. - Many moons ago , I thought it was a check valve until I checked it - Nope..

Muffler makes sense , those IAC's have been known to make a few noises even with one. I think Shifty85 mentioned something before about funny freaking noises coming from somewhere - it sounded like , help me help me coming from the engine compartment

Bluegrass has a good point...

Comon Shifty , get it together lol..

Yahoo - Yea , sometimes - If I have a kid missing or need a date for an upcoming party . Other than that , not really..

Yea , were suppose to 6-12 inchers tonight!!! I toped off the 4x4 and filled the 6 gallon can with gas for the snow throwers - made sure the strap, clevis's, chokers, jumper cables were in there and a pint of schnapps of course - I'm set!!

I hope we get a foot of the white stuff!!

my truck fits next to the corvette but we cant shut the door unless its all the way up agest the wall but then we cant work under the hood very good. i have a socket set a wrench set and some random tools here and there. i have a 215 pc socket set and a 20 pc wrench set. i got everything we need for spark plugs what other tools do you think we might need?? every job ive done to my truck these tools were enogh. as far as parts donno what i need yet so yeah. i dont have air at my house thoe. would it be good to drive my 7 cyl truck out to u? ill drive it out there if u want but i think ive got ever thing we need. *ha i just had a thought...i could back my truck in and the hitch would be at the wall and we could work under the hood. wow ive nva thought of that lol* but yeah do we need any other tools? i dotn have a compression tester. was gonna rent one out or barrow one of my friends. What all do i need Jbrew!!

no. i have my stock injectors on. i have those other injectors off that 94 4.6L police intercepter. i cant get the injectors out of that fuel rail thoe. as far as the ones on my truck ive never tryed to get them out. is there a speical trick to get them out of the fuel rail because the police interceptor ones are just on the fuel rail and i cant get any of them out. if the fuel injector doesnt fix it then whats cyl 1's major mal****ion didnt mommy and daddy show him enogh attention as a kid?!!! bc its not the spark thats fine. if a valve was stuck itd make an ungodly knocking noise. in park or netural i have all 8 cyl's but the second is has a load cyl 1 freaks out!. ill do the injector 2 morro as for me right now its time for 3 tons on 7 cyl's to go sliding side ways WOOOHOOOOOO! IM ON A HIGH WAY TO HELL!!!

Injectors will pull right out of the fuel rail or manifold where ever they end up after taking that side of the fuel rail loose and pulling it upward. Lay some rags down below the rail before you pull it , you'll loose a little fuel doing so..

Take it easy driving it before it really blows a nutt

Wait a minute - it's misfiring under a load ? If so , I doubt it's an injector.

Everything that it could be has been mentioned I believe. Try pulling the harness further away from the accumulator , I said that before..

There is no need to change out all the injectors. That is just creating work for nothing. Swap the #1 for #2 and if the miss jumps the injector is to blame.
Turn the injector in the rail to loosen it up. It is held in by the tight fit of the O-ring. There is one on each end. Lube the O-rings with a little bit of engine oil so they are easier to slide back into place. Before you swap injectors it would be a good idea to have a few spare O-rings in case you tear a few. A clogged injector won't feed it enough fuel so it could still be the problem.

i didnt drive like a nut theres enogh snow that about 2,500 RPMs did the trick!! 3 tons 7 cyl's 2WD and 12 inchs of snow=fun with a lil back firing out out the muffler!! i think im gonna pull it in today and try the injector as for that wire its above everything else it goes over top all of the other wires it doesnt even get close to any pullys at all. and if it was a stuck valve wouldnt it make a really really bad knocking sound. and itd be there all the time. in park and netral i can idle and rev it up with out it misfiring at all. and when im driving and its in overdrive at 40MPH its fine but if i give it a lil more gas the whole truck starts shakeing really bad. but if i just have the gas down enogh it will make it misfire. insted of pulling 2 injectors off my truck im gonna swap cyl 1's injector with one off the cop car. i have a spare set of heads from that cop car. i donno if its a romeo or windsor heads. any way to tell?? Thanks alot and hey Jbrew we got about10-11inchs and its gonna snow till 6PM HOEHOEHOE!!! marrry Driftmas!!! i < 3 the SNOW!!!

Yea that's what I was getting at about the injectors - just swap one , but you'll have to pull the rail on that side so lay the rags down like I said before.

You accumulater is directly below the 175 MAXI fuse cradle - it's a big aluminum tank . If the wiring harness has been pushed to close to it - It screws the ignition up . A problem with your model and mine in the past..

PKRWD - a member posted that problem in the past..
