need info on coil packs

need info on coil packs

guys i need some advice on how to change the coil packs on a 2000 5.4.

well, there is a small bolt that holds each one on, its a 7 or 8mm, cant remember.

Here some info - You don't have coil pacs on the 5.4L.. They used coil pacs on the older 4sixes and still use them on the 4.2's.. The 5.4L motors never had them..

There all 7mm bolts that aren't torqued all that tight . COP's need to have movement on the bushings. Otherwise the ears may crack and snap off from vibration.

Hmm? Is the coil on plug different than a coil pack? My 5.4 has COP's.

Yea ,all 5.4L motors have COP's systems - all 4sixes are COP'ed now as well.. - and it's "Coil Over Plug" = (COP) ...

I have a 2001 F-150 supercrew with a 5.4 L Triton motor and had a detail guy wash the engine compartment and now have (4) cylinders with a mis fire problem. Anyone have any idea if this problem will fix itself or if the cop's may be bad?
