we should have a pull off to...u just gotta keep it in 2WD! i dont have a tow strap so if you got one we can do that. but if not oh well. what day and time is good for you??

yea the 97 4.6 without PI heads is pretty much equal to a 4.2

in my owners maunal it says the 4.2L makes 205HP and that my 4.6L makes 210HP lol 2 more cyl's only give me 5 more HP? oh well 8 Cyl's sounds better than 6 any day!..unless its a diesel!!!

I read that too but I wonder is that 205 at the motor or at the wheels?

All HP numbers from the factory are at the flywheel. Like the 3V 5.4 has 300 hp, but only puts down 230 or so.

I currently have a 97 4.6 4x4 ex-cab 202xxx miles. Still runs strong, I use it to pull my 23' cuddy cabin. It'll run 80mph doing it. It just takes a few miles and gallons of gas to get there. I also have an 01 screw with a 5.4, it certainly has a lot more cojones than the 4.6, but the 4six has done me well over the years. (the 97's for sale btw)

My 4.6 towed at 100+ many times...
