Please help knocking

Please help knocking

I can hear this knocking coming from the front passenger side of the motor at idle and its not all the time its off and on and I want to say I dont hear it if the a/c is on. Any input is much appreciated.

you didn't specify if it was front or rear of the engine. if it is coming from the front check the idler and tension pully on the fan belt

sorry about that its the 5.4 and in front of the motor around the a/c pully

As someone else stated. Remove the serpentine belt and run engine a short time. If noise no longer exists with the belt off then check the belt tensioner and all pulleys for defective bearings. Good luck
