I have only seen that one other time in a 4cyl chevy motor after I spun a bearing but I never figured out why? It was in the rear cylinder.

it was the only cylinder. The piston and rings look just fine. O well, im going to bore it out, grind the crank, have it all balanced and then put some good rods and pistons in it, then send the heads off to get Ported and have a valve job. Not right now though, its all torn down, the rod bearings look brand new. Nothing new with the truck yet, waiting on that *&*^ intercooler tank, the mail is SO slow!

Thats what I was thinking too. Cylinder walls better be made of kryptonite to go 0.30" over, who needs water or oil jackets anyway!

Piston slap would be at the bottom of the cylinder not top. Not sure what would cause that damage. Failed ring?
