As far as I know, the 5.4 has FORGED crank and FORGED pistons, when the 4.6 has CAST crank and CAST pistons... That tells me that the 5.4 SHOULD be able to handle NOS far better than the 4.6... But go ahead and put the NOS on your truck and let us know how it does

both have forged crank. they both have cast rods and hypercrappy pistons.

you NEED a custom tune for nitrous... less timing is needed

OMG! That just made me fall outta my chair!!!!

My Dad set one of those off in a car that he had when he was younger... it had those fruit flies... so he got a Roach bomb and set that off. Worked wonders.

I can do that with a few taps from the Edge...I can reduce it by 10 degrees. So, do I need a custom tune or not? Is it better with a custom tune, or does it matter. I've been looking at getting the TP custom tunes for my truck and also been looking at a 150-200 shot of NOS for my truck. And in the future, a supercharger... Will the engine hold up??? Any news would be helpful!!!
