The TPS has nothing to do with the EGR. When those start to go , you no it right away . It will shift funny. Over rev - Sh^t like that will start to happening and you get a check engine light right away..

So the TPS wouldn't cause a 401? The way the Hayne's book reads, the EGR system works off of all those sensors to determine how the system will operate, TPS, MAF, IAT, just to name a couple. Guess I'll start with the DPFE sensor and go from there.

There are two different syles of DPFE sensors depending on the mounting method for that particular engine.
One is tube mounted, the other is screwed to something then connected to the EGR sample tubes with hoses.
Now you have pictures of both styles.

I followed the directions in the Hayne's book and checked the DPFE sensor and EVR regulator voltages, and they were all normal. The DPFE sensor is in a different location on my truck, it's right on top of the EGR tube, and is a lot smaller than yall's picture.
