Yeah, your prolly right - they should be able to . I'll take the truck in when I get headers. I didn't know how much it sucked trying o piece it in yourself . You definitly need a welder and a torch.

i got a little wirefeed and a plasma, i can do damn near any cutting and welding i need to. now i just need a tube bender and i can make me a neat little 4x4 ranger with exoskeleton.
or actually, the 91 explorer out back is a better candidate. it just needs lifted and bigger tires to get it started. tons of body damage in the right front lol.

yeah the one guy who helped pull my arm out had a flashback of his hand being caught. his was just the hand but it ripped skin off.

lol i like the sticks im in, they look so purdy with all that fresh powder on em. just dont understand those california drivers who drive 25 mph in a 55 when its only a foot of snow... lol

yeah the plasma worked great for the shackles on my 67 fairlane. they were adjustable and too long so i hacked em down. pretty good for 1/4" or bigger cut from a tiny cheapie plasma.

so whos buyin the bender? lol

printing press, between a free roller and a driven roller with about a 1inch gap between the 2. if that.

I've seen them for 800 bucks - With a 4six , you might wanna watch ebay for a set..

Or go to, I think it's gotpressure.com - People - forum users sell used SC's and headers on that site..

Little update

Dumped a can of Seafoam into my tank when I filled up last week. Ive only used 1/4 so far and I can already feel a difference. Injectors were probably gettin gummed up. Put a couple ounces of amsoil in with the Seafoam today just for that extra oomph. After this tank I'm changin my fuel filter. Got my MIL-Eliminators in today so I'll be gettin my cats gutted soon.(maybe next week if I have time).

It's pretty crappy. I'm not "assaulting" their quality, just stating facts. If I see a turd on my lawn, I'm not going to describe it like a rose, and calling a turd a turd isn't insulting, it's the truth.

I've been welding for years, and the guy I was looking at this header with is a licensed welder. It's not too hard to see. Maybe the newer ones are better, but previous experience with OBX's products makes me extremely leery.

Pacesetter is usually pretty crappy as well and you can spend whatever you want to spend, just keep in mind you get what you pay for. There's a reason those OBX headers are so cheap. Once again, they are cheaply made and rip off hard working AMERICAN companies. Like I said earlier, the 2.0L Sentra header they sell is an EXACT copy of one Hotshot's been making for years. If you look at the pictures I posted, the OBX and Dynatech headers look identical. Did they both accidentally happen on the same design or did OBX simply buy a Dynatech header and copy it? You decide.

OBX isn't the only crap company out there, but they're one of them. Back to turds, if there's a turd on my lawn, I'm not going to complain about all of the other possible turd varieties out there as well, just what's on my lawn.

Either way, do what you want. If you've already bought and installed one, just be prepared to replace it in short time. If you haven't bought one yet, just keep in mind you're buying from a company that has been proven to steal American products, then cut the business out from under them with cheap Chinese labor. It's a free country, do what you want.

Pretty thin. When my friend asked me to weld his cracked OBX header, I used the same settings I had just used to weld some 18g mild steel pipe together that had a little gap. When I welded the crack on his header (yes, it was clean) it wanted to burn through the whole time and I had to turn the welder down. My guess? A combination of cheap steel and thin walls made this stuff more likely to blow through than some cheap 18g mild steel. Good stainless usually takes more heat than mild to weld properly, not less.
