This thread was no longer about you after your third post. You lost your audeience and all helping hands at that point.

Conversation got switched away and is on something else, it's 2 other members talking between them selfs. It's an A B conversation you need to C your way out of that paticular topic and attempt to get it back on what you need.

1. Remove the spark plug from the front left cylinder head (the 1 closest to the front of the engine on the passenger side of the truck).

2. Turn the engine over until it comes up to the compression stroke - Top Dead Center. Stop when the piston is at the very top of the cylinder.

3. Look at the distributor cap and find the plug wire for cylinder # 1. Turn the rotor so it points at the plug wire for cylinder # 1 and install it into the engine.

4. Re-install the spark plug in cylinder # 1.

This should get you close enough to start the engine...

You are welcome.

A little advice:

NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER put anything into "print" (e-mail, postings on forums, blogs, etc.) that you may regret someday, no matter how mad or emotional you feel at the time. Once it hits "cyberspace", it is impossible to get rid of. For an example, see the 5th post in this thread quoting your original response to Steve83 - even though you edited your original response, it is now out of your control to "make it go away".

After you post for help, have a little patience. You reposted an hour and a half after your 1st post for help. I know what it is like when you are looking for info, but at 8:13 AM on June 1st, most folks were probably at work, on their way to work or getting ready to go to work.

2nd, take a moment and understand what someone posts - just because you don't care for their style doesn't mean the post was hostile or inaccurate.

Steve83 told you exactly what you needed to do, on a couple of levels:

He told you that you were in a forum where NONE of the vehicles people own have a distributor;

He told you that your poor spelling turns a lot of people off, so it might make getting a response hard to do; (I am guilty of this myself - I thought the title of the thread was someone's spoof to try and get attention, not an actual request for help. I passed it over until last night....)

He told you that he thought Haynes makes a good shop manual, which would explain to you how to install the distributor;

And, finally, he told you how to install the distributor.

I will be the 1st to admit that there are some smart-a$$ people who frequent these forums. But, just like in person, if someone has knowledge that you need and you are not going to be paying for it, you have to get that knowledge on their terms.

Lighten up; fix your truck; learn from others; install a spell-checker for your internet browser; help others when YOU can....

B-Man

PS. Be sure to post up when you get your truck started. Good luck !!!

Daniel Powter

Because you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
You had a bad day
