What aftermarket fan controller to use with a Troyer Dual 16" kit?

Hi,

After less than 1 years time one of my fan controllers on my Troyer dual fan kit has failed. I really don't want to buy another Troyer controller as the 2nd one is also showing some trouble with a shorted wire internally.

Is anyone using a SPAL fan controller/s if I were to use a SPAL controller would I get 1 for each fan and run the AC off just one of the controllers?

What other controllers have proven to have LONG term reliability? I don't want to be replacing these things every year at over $100 for 2 controllers with shipping from Troyers, it's way too expensive.

I am pretty disapointed in these Troyer controllers already, can't believe they both need replacing in less than 1 year...

Thanks,
Neale

Done the search, looking for some feedback from people that have changed their fan controllers and have had good luck with certain brands, Thanks.

After 5 years one of my Troyer controllers failed. I replaced it with a Derale. It looks to be the same thing.

Thank you Sir, I wish I would have got that mileage out of my Troyer controllers......I think I want to try a SPAL as they look to be pretty solid, hopefully someone that has used them for a while will offer some feedback.

Thanks

I have the Spal controller installed, but not energized or calibrated yet. I used an oem temp sensor which I installed in the block drain on the left side.
After three of the Troyer / Derale controllers went out in less than two years, I decided to try this.
