we finally found it. there was some exposed wiring behind the engine in the main harness. new harness will be here tomorrow. tech is going to reroute the new harness a little so it shouldn't happen again. in theory i should be driving home with it thursday. it's been a long month. i will post up a pic of the part, and total job cost, when the tech is done with the job.

it's finally done. tech went on a test drive, and no problems. woo hoo.

cant wait to go home tonight. and i start working at a new dealership in a few weeks. things are looking good!!

latest, and hopefully last, update: been driving it ever since. no problems whatsoever. thank goodness. 31 days without my beast was rough. total bill for parts, labor, rentals, gas for rentals, and tows was right about $2000. but, at least it's all set. thanks for all the help guys.
