Replacing Both Head Gaskets

Once you get the two bolts connected to rail off you should be able to rock the rail back and forth until the each injector pops out.

what bolts? the ones that attach the rail to the intake manifold?

Ya Luke your right,the fuel lines should then lift straight up,if not try rocking the lines while lifting up.I think there is 2 bolts on each side for the fuel rail.
The fuel rail for the injectors right???

yes the fuel rail for the injectors. one on each side of the intake manifold

i got it off. thanks. now next question. it says in the haynes book that only the 1998 engines dont allow the valve cover bolts to come off. mine loosen, but then pop up and down when trying to take them out, and they dont happen to come out all the way. are they supposed to come out fully?

Is it best to use OEM gasket kits and head bolts? I'm skeptical of the Ford headgaskets and the MANY revisions to attempt to get it right. I'd prefer to go all aftermarket, but don't know who or what exactly.

Where did you get it? Is that the gasket between the intake manifold and throttle valve? I am wanting to order head gasket to lindsey racing. what do you think?
