is 10 miles a gallon normal
i have a 2001 extended cab 4x4 with the 5.4 and 76000 miles i cant seem to get more than 11 miles a gallon and thats driving normal. i was thinking of having it looked at and maybe a tune up. it has a mac cat back and 285/75/16 pro comp xtreme terrain tires and a 2.5 inch lift/leveling kit. i only lost one mile per gallon with the tires. if anyone has a suggestion it would really help thanks

I think its just the way these trucks are... I have plugs with around 8,000 miles and notice no difference. I have tried quite a few things to improve mileage as well as performance. E-fans, clean K&N filter every 3rd oil change, clean maf, keep tires inflated, diablo sport programmer, tried keeping it under 70mph/2000rpm's, keep windows up. Nothing really works for me, maybe the 02 sensors but ive been told to just wait until you get a code.
Currently getting around 12 right now if I dont get into it.

Didn't really pay attention to the year, just referencing my plug and wire change in my old 1997.
