Did you literally have it in reverse at WOT pegging the rev limiter for five minutes? Suprised your motor and/or tires lasted that long. Five minutes is a very long time.

WOT= wide open throttle. only way you will truly be able to tell, at least the cheapest way, is to drive the truck. i really dont see you pegging the throttle for 5 minutes straight. that an exagerated time?

Next time you are stuck, try holding it at WOT and moving the shifter from D to R and back a few times.

Yes 5 minutes is an exageration. i just got off the phone and she said it was probally close 1-2 minutes.ive put about 30 miles on the truck since i did that and i havent noticed any differance. i know how to rock it , back and forth, but i couldnt go an enough forwards to help me any because my girlfriends car was in front of the truck.

Engine will fair better than the transmission! All that rocking will overload the trans at some point.

I would have to say I dont think you hurt the motor at ALL....

they set a rev limiter for a reson...

only thing you should be scared of when doing stuff like that is all
of your drive train... U-joints/Rear end/transmission...

just that fact that its builting up heat but sence it was on ice and its
not like you were putting alot of stress on it... you shouldent have done a thing
