First of all your engine does not have lifters. They are called lash adjusters. They are somewhat different in function than actual lifters. I highly doubt that you need the lash adjusters changed with so few miles on your truck. These adjusters are good for probably 200,000 miles and more. You say you have a knock. A lash adjuster that is collapsed will sound more like a loose marble rattling around under your cam cover. It is possible to have maybe one lash adjuster go bad but all of them would indicate that you are losing oil pressure and that would allow them to lose prime and collapse. However even with that scenario the lash adjusters would return to normal operation position when oil pressure was restored and not have to be replaced. I can't help you with the knock concern because I am unable to listen to it. It is possible that one of the two chain tensioners has collapsed and is creating a noise. However I would find another dealer and have them diagnois your noise concern. Good luck

That makes more sense although I'm surprised that they would have to be replaced with so few miles. They are not hard to change and I hope they are covered under warranty since your mileage is so low. Good luck.
