I'm not sure what I have - I have an open diff in the front 4x4 - The back must be LS - they both would slip then lock - I don't know that much about it . Easy to brake torque tho and it's for the most part stock- just pipes intake and upgraded injectors - I know it's hell of allot better than it was when I got it , nothin special tho ..want more

Oh and I have no brakes in the rear - I don't think they ever worked - crappy drum brake set up .

Of course I video'ed the event ,that was the purpose - but did it with a Hitachi Camera - The camera was dropped or bumped I dunno I wasn't the camera man - but doesn't work since - tried like hell to get that tape to play - but that freaking camera put it in a format that niether a MAC or a PC cannot read it won't load!!! - got any idea's , I'de realy like to see it..

They say the only way to read is to buy another camera just like it ? That's crap , not willing to buy another junk Hitachi at the moment.

Well, I haven't heard of anyone benefiting from it pre 99.

Di you notice any improvement and do you have the E4OD trans and the tow/offroad package? Heard theres more to that than just a duel core rad and extra cooler - That came on my model - Still , A tune on a 98 5.4L motor has no enhancements from what I gather.

Did you see any improvement? People I talked with said I would need to swap out my heads first with PI's 99 or newer and then go for the tune.

What did you improve before your tune to get something from one..??

Yep, all stock tranny, e4od, but with a shift kit. i have the tow package, but who ever told you that you gain nothing from a tune without swapping heads must be a real smart person... I gained almost 15hp from a tune when my truck was stock. I would say that is pretty good because that is about all you will gain. I dont know how much I gained from my tune with my new heads and cams because I put that in before i started the engine once it was all back together.

My first set I tried like hell to keep clean - they use that raw salt here - man is that hard on all metal , excluding stainless.

White rust eventually took over - I would put preventitive on them , grease , wax , everything I could think of . All would wash right off soon as the salt hit it.

There using chloride nowadays - a little better I guess..
