hey neal
Sorry, I did mean to reference neals ongoing turbo upgrade. I realize this is overkill on a n/a 5.4. But sometime down the road my plan is to take it to mike's (troyer) shop and have it datalogged with the stock setup and this one. I have the tunes now, but the motor is still on the stand.

converts it to a single plane intake manifold. makes more top end torque i did the same on mine there is a noticable gain in torque
the adapter was made out of a piece of compressed hardwood i had laying around. the two small brackets i made out of chevy starter shims i had in the bolt bin. i forgot to add the 3.00$ for bolts. oops...
it relly went together quite easy. my accelerator cable bracket is due in friday.
Someday it will be turbo'ed. i hope to use the stock manifolds and run adapters to the turbos

id just buy some shorty headers.. they flow bit more than stock manifolds.

yeh just the higher the exhaust gas velocity the quicker the turbo spools. and quicker u get boost.
Nice work your friend did! As far a getting a patent consider advising your friend this! Get a design paten! Much cheaper to start with, if it’s a loss not much lost! Once he has applied for a patent he can offer it to market, with a patent pending adviser, but unfortunately people still will just steal it anyway, no real protection anymore! and if it’s successful then he can apply for the utility patent, very expensive! Also consider this in my opinion; he can only apply for a modification (process type patent) I mean he only really made it look pretty! I should know I have a patent. But really it’s just an expensive self achievement plaque I get to hang on my wall Good luck! oh and guys; just Friendly advice no attempts to high jack! just keep on keepin on !!
