I have a 92 F150 with a 300 6cyl it turns over but will not run unless I pour fuel in the intake and will only run as long as I do that. My fuel pumps run okay 40 psi front tank and 55 rear. I am getting power to the injectors also.
What am I missing?

 

Is getting fire check to see if the plugs are sparkin

 

It will run as long as I pour gas in the intake

 

check the fuel pressure up on the fuel rail. on my old 88, the fuel pressure regulator went out and caused similar symptoms.

So its got fuel pressure at the rail and good fire but wont run unless you pour in gas. something has got to be missing here. Are you sure there is fuel getting to the injectors?

 

Yes I have fuel to the rail. I have disconnected the return and hooked my hand vacuum pump to fuel regulator and I get fuel to flow. maybe I am missing something. Any I deas on what I could check?

I just started a new thread to see if we can get more help. See this guy has a real stumpper.

Lack of fuel injector operation.

The injectors are bank-fired directly by the PCM.

Have the KOEO and KOER codes been pulled yet? Always the first step...
