I've seen lots of Rangers with bad intake gaskets cause the same codes and symptoms.

Well this is what I did. The truck runs rough like its missing one 1 cylinder. I suspect the good old #4 coil. So I unplugged it, started the truck and it made no differance at all. I plugged it back in and grabbed the front passengers coil and unplugged it. Now the truck really runs rough. This tells me that the problem is the #4 coil AND since I unplugged the #1 coil for my little test, I figured thats why Im getting the po351 code because it was stored in its memory as failed. How dose this sound guys??? Oh, and by the way, Im new here and would like to post...where is the posting button? Big thanks...

I ordered the gaskets on the way the home tonight , I 'm going to change them anyway . I won't be able to work on it till Easter (So far - it's a day off) . Before I do anything though I will test for leaks. temp1 provided a very informative link to do with the 1131 code I received. I haven't read everything , but so far from what I gather , 1131 only comes up in conjunction with other codes. That's the only code that came up on the scanner. I'll have to read some more on - temp1 always gives me plenty to read lol.. ( :

Quick question - I drive 2 hours round trip per day , Is there a chance that I could make matters worse here ? Can it wait until easter?

ieyiyi!

I tested the manifold gaskets tonight - had to, No.7 cylinder fouled the plug on the way home - in limp mode .. This is getting ridiculous .. Anyway, they don't seem to be leaking - tested w/carbspray.

Had both codes 1131 and 037 (misfire)

live datastream is more helpful than a generic code reader many times. Don't know how much more is spenrt on one with datastream but that is the next place I go after pulling codes most times
