Go out to 5000 while your under warranty using a synthetic. And if ya stay with 3000 OCI, can I buy your old oil cheap, I'd run it for another 3-5000 and not worry about it

Even using a dino oil, you can easily run 5,000 mile OCIs. The Triton engines are not hard on oil at all and analysis shows that most can easily run 8,000 miles on any 930 speced oil.
That was almost funny. Easily run 8K on a triton engine Easily run yourself into a new truck since the old one would have a smoldering heap of waste under the hood. Have you not read the threads about ford considering the amount of oil these engines are burning being within spec? I believe I recall someone saying either 1/2 a quart or 1 quart per 900 miles!!

I know that mine burns around 2 quarts in 3000 miles. That would leave me at about 1 quart in 8000 miles. That wouldn't be a happy motor.
