Can someone decipher this?

Took my truck to the dealer for what I think is throttle lag. Basically, they say nothing is wrong, however upon review of the service report, i feel different.

The service report reads...felt slight stumble at 30-40 mph on accel only, ran self test no codes checked oasis nothing, called hotline, checked mode6 data, performed power balance test, performed fuel system tests, injector flow test, pass, performed coil stress test, pass, mode 6 shows misses on cylinders 1-4 sometimes and 5 other time, hesisatition is too slight and intermittent to diagnose, symptom will have to get worse in order to diagnose...

So I have a miss on four cyliders?

Can someone clarify what this means?

Regards!

They know something is amiss.
They did some testing and found nothing.
There is not enough info to base a positive repair on.
They will not take anymore time on it until a hard failure occurrs.

Mode 6 data is diagnostic results from the different OBD II monitors, like the misfire, catalyst, EVAP, HEGO monitors. With misfires especially, the misfire count may not be high enough to set a DTC, but it'll show itself when compared against the typical reference value from mode 6 data. Sometimes though, we're gotta wait until things start getting worse before we can make an accurate diagnosis of the problem. If the truck passed a coil stress test, I'd start thinking injectors that might be hanging up intermittently.

Thanks Fella's!

I don't have that much faith in the three local dealers that I can choose from, so it helps to have an objective outside opinion.

Best regards!

Throttle Lag

I have an 05 with the exact same problem. It has had bad throttle lag since I bought it new, it now has 7,000 miles on it. C-17Pilot suggested a tuner such as the Edge to correct the problem. It's sad that the Dealers are very aware of this problem but won't do anything to correct it. I would be curious to hear if and how you got it corrected.

Thanks

In addition, I just experienced the truck almost not starting about an hour ago. It took about four or five attempts to start...it just kept turning over but wouldnt fire...

During the last attempt to start the info center flashed "low oil pressure". After it did start, it was missing for a couple of seconds, then smoothed out.

I am going to try to take it back to the dealer on monday. It seems to run fine now!

Regards!
