Let's go for the 300,000 mile club.
300K mile club
My 2010 4.6 f150 has 276,000 miles on it, it’s a supercrew 4x4 SB, been a great truck but I have replaced torque converter and a rocker arm fell off while driving and had to replace the cam and all valve train components on one side at 200,000miles, other than that been a great truck and it’s been worked hard especially in the later miles...
Definitely not all highway driving. My Ford hauls or pulls trailers loaded down with hay and anything else I've asked it to do. He's a farm truck about 20% of the time and a everyday transportation "get it down" truck the other 80%. My wife has her vehicle and I have my F150. Period. I believe that you kill a vehicle when you don't drive them at least 5-6 days out of the week. I have to say that usually it's only a Ford F150 that can handle that type of usage. I'm now at 316,824.7. I had a bit of hesitation and sputtering recently so I changed out all plugs and coil packs and its like I have a brand new truck. The guy at the dealership is gonna be pissed because I test drove an F250 and now that I'm back in love with my "Boy" I probably won't upgrade. I just can't have 2 trucks.
Roadie I'm a busy dude and I apologize for the 11 month delay in answering your question. I now have 316K plus miles on my 4.6 F150 with original transmission. No major issues so far. No smoking no leaks. Engine clean. A mechanic said I kept my engine too clean and washing it would foul my coils. It hasn't in 15 years... I use Lucas oil in every oil change...started that at 200K. FYI...these F150's aren't broken in till 200K:...
I love reading all these stories... I daily drove a car with over 300k on the clock for a few years, and there's a certain feeling that comes from driving something that's seen that many miles. next stop, 500k, gents! Ha ha!
I just recently got a 97 regular cab 4.6L, traded a gun for it. The odometer reads 252652 but the odometer is broke. One of the oil change stickers in the corner of the window shows the same mileage and is dated 2015. I’m sure it’s well over 300K now.
Sold my 01 F150 SuperCrew in September. Had 7 miles when I bought it, 287,786 when I sold it. About 100k was pulling horse trailers. Original engine and trans. Only major work I did to it was rebuilt the differential, burned a rear axle bearing and replaced the front suspension.
My nephew has my old '99 Scab Lariat now. He's close to turning 297,000 on the original 5.4. I had that truck for 2+ years and can attest to it never having blown a plug out of it (unless the heads were replaced before I got it). Still no helicoils in the plug holes.
