Where's my PCV valve?

Okay, I know where it should be, I know what they look like, I know how to test and even clean them.
I pulled the plenum to valve cover tube, and no PCV valve. The tube is the OEM preformed unit with the original elbows. I stuck a screwdriver through the valve cover port, and nothing but a cam and stuff in there. How is this possible? I'm confused.

On the passenger side valve cover. it sits in a grommet and the tube connects to it. on the driver side there is a tube but it doesn't use a pcv.
