Anyone ever do a V10 F150

I have seen where some guys put a 6.8L Triton in a mustang once, but not in an F150.
I never really thought the V10 would be a viable option since it has always been limited to 2 valve heads, but now that there is a 3valve version out, I would consider it. I did some searching around on here and on Yahoo, and couldn't find anyone who had done it.
What would it take to put a 3 valve V10 into a 2000 regular cab flareside where a 5.4 once lived?

Is that all? Punch it out and see how much you can get with that motor. With that thought, what IS the most power ever stuffed into a f-150?

I figured that using the ECM from an F250, it would be pretty easy, electronics-wise. I have access to photograph a 2V V10 here where I work, and I took some pictures of the mounting bosses and such. I'll try to put them up here if I can.
From there, I could get an Xcalibrator2 and see what a performance tune would do for it, as well as longtube headers and all of the other things I can stick on there.

It bolts right in. You may need to switch to electric fans for rad clearance but that is no biggie. I almost did this swap but my engine deal fell through so I pulled the 4.6 and put in a 5.4. If I ever get my hands on a sweet deal like the 6.8 I had again I will go ahead and do it. Granted a 5.4 can be built to produce a lot more power but just the thought of a V10 in an F-150 is worth the headache.

money would be better spent just putting a lightning motor in, if the original 5.4 was bad. If it's fine, just put a blower on it.

HI!... Well I have a 400H.P plus 5.4 N/A in my truck and it is not too much power. If someone would of made aftermarket cams for the V-10, I would of gone that route instead of a BUILT 5.4.

The 3v F150 would be easy to physically install, hard to get running. You'd either need to adapt a processor from a newer 3v vehicle, come up with your own controller for the variable valve timing, or come up with a setup to lock the cams in one position (which I think is what you get if you just left it not hooked up, but cams would likely not be locked in a good position power-wise). Also if not using a 3v processor need to adapt to a throttle body with a cable, 3v motors have no cable.

I'm sure some of the race Lightnings are at 700+, and someone somewhere has to have a 1000hp motor in an F150......

Thats what I was saying, get the ECM and related gizmos from the donor 3V F230/350-whatever and transplant it all into my 2000.
