Question Need help from all of you experts.

I have a 97 F-150 with a 4.6L V8. My VIN is 1FTDX0867VKA07044.

My current project is to move my oil filter off of the engine, and I am adding a Motor-Guard filter also.

This is my plan to accomplish all this:

1. Remove oil filter
2. Place sandwitch adapter in its place.
3. Hook hoses to adapter and run to Motor-Guard filter.
4. Install adapter onto sandwitch. Hook hoses to adapter and run to new spin-on filter location.

My questions are this.
a: What is the size of the thread (diamater/pitch) of the nipple on the engine.

b: What is the diameter of the existing oil filter mounting/sealing surface.

I want to buy the adapters but when I make phone calls, most technial representives are clueless...... Go figure...

I can find the so called "Universal Mount" adapters but oil filter diamaters DO very and I really don't want leaks.

Thanks in advance...

I'm more the other end of the spectrum from "expert" but couldn't you get most of that info from measuring a new oil filter?
