just wondering what us 5.4 guys can do to get with that hemi, somewhere on the internet they ran a 15.15, i dont think our 5.4 is a bad engine, i just hope there is a way to keep up.

oh, and im talkin us 4X4 guys!!

this come about cuz i was getting gas and some fat girls started hootin' at me and all that stuff. and one of them yelled "that thing gotta hemi?" and i told her "no its better." and they responded "NO, THATS A FORD"

then of course they gave me a few laughs and stuff, sure they dont know much about engines or trucks.

bottom line. all the way home i was like, man i would get smoked by a hemi, i know a guy that has one i rode in it, and i wasnt really impressive, but a nice ride.

so anyone know what to do to our babies to get them to run a 15.----- than i'd love to know! SUPERCHARGERS ARE TOO OBVIOUS, lets be realistic

the next step for me is fans and pulleys but i'd bet im still in the 16 or mid to high 15s

Drop a blown 600cid Ford Motorsports engine in your truck. That'll beat a Hemi.

 

Drop in a set of electric fans and put 4.10 gears in both axles and you will be able to take their heavy ***. Outside of that, plumb a 100 hp nitrous hit on your truck. They will never see it coming and if you do a real nice install where it is hidden and looks factory, they will be asking you if "you gotta a hemi" and then you pop the hood and say "nope, but I do have a smaller engine than you" and laugh. There is nothing like a "cheater system" to **** off some competition.

Only other thing to do is to supercharge or go into the motor, stroke it and put bigger cams into it. Then you can really beat them naturally aspirated and have the same gas mileage they do.

 

Eh, then what happens when you pull up against the a hemi with a 100 shot running mid 13's?

 

you could always get a Ligthning and just smoke him stock, but I guess then you are not naturally aspirated but you'de still smoke him...

 

Starting with a ext-cab 4x4 puts you at a huge disadvantage for racing. Typical bolt ons won't be your answer.
