Motorcraft 2150 carb
Motorcraft 2150 model carbs
I understand the 2150 was produced with 8 different venturi sizes, from 1.08 to 1.43 inch diameters. The largest I have been able to find is 1.23 inches, which I rebuilt and installed on my 351M replacing the 1.08 I installed a year ago. Much better performance and a 30% (approx) improvement in fuel economy were the rewards.
The 1.08 carb had been installed in a 1981 Mustang with a 302 V-8, and the 1.23 inch carb was installed in a 1978 Thunderbird with a 400 V-8, but I have not been able to locate the largest model with the 1.43 inch venturi.
Does anyone know what vehicle(s) the 1.43 model was installed in, or where that information might be found ? Given the reality of a dollar plus for a liter of gas, my 12 miles per gallon needs all the help it can get.
