Question Coil Test

i have a 1999 triton 5.4 litre with 120,000 miles. Is there anyway for me to test the individual coils with a volt ohm meter?

Yes!

The two connector terminals should read .5 ohms.

Then probe either of the connector terminals and the spring coil that goes on the spark plug. You should get a reading of around 5500 ohms.

Just fyi I just replaced all 8 of mine at 152k miles. I bought a set of 8 coil packs from Troyer Performance for $200. It cost $241 total with overnight shipping.

Thanks Troyer Performance for saving me a sh*t load of money.
