u dont clean my block to much of a chance of water gettin on the ignition plug wires and it developin a miss from fowling spark plugs or ignition wires/or coil packs if u got a 98 on up. mines a 97..... but usually the engine oil weapage i leave on there so u dont get rust or anything like that i just clean the plastic cause cleanin engine is just asthetic and it is best to leave it alone. ford designed em that way so just leave it be=p.

sheesh dude thats dangerous doin that the seals on the engine like around the oil cap and other places are only meant to hold the water in.. so i guess your lucky and havent had any problems my dad was a ford mechanic 19 years and use to have cars come in all the time with clean engines but they got water where they shouldnt have and now the got a engine miss. but i usually just resort to a towel and a car scrubbing sponge to clean my engine.for the just in case clause. cause ignition wires are 97 bucks.......

Kinda sad. A picture that big and I still don't know what I'm looking for. Other than the "whistler" I didn't see anything that special on that engine. Sorry. :o

it looks like a bone stocker to me with way too much tire dressing sprayed on it! (Just ragging on you no harm intended!) And as mentioned above I see the old poweraid TB spacer "whistler" that seems to cause a lot of controversy around here!!

Now I did notice one thing, your buddy still has the old pressure clamp on the infamous leaking heater hose on the back passenger side over the coil. he really should change that to a screw type.

my gawd u people Throttle body spacers dont make the whistling noise the movement of the IAC sensor moving in and out reading airflow makes the noise not the TB if u take the muffler off the IAC which is the sensor right on the TB u will see where the noise comes from. i can prove it because i got my intake people my TBS and it whisteled when i had my intake on and actually didnt whistle as loud when i got the TBS put on.

Thumbs down

HI!... Here we go again. 4.6lpwnage : Most of the guys here that have decided to waste their money on a TB SPACER have bought the "POWERAID" spacer. It has a *SPIRAL* cut into the bore of the TB SPACER. It is supposed to speed up the incoming air velocity. At part throttle applications it whines or whistles very loudly and most people fine it very annoying. Everyone here knows this. It has nothing to do with the air silencer off the air intake ducting. I've heard the *WHISTLING* sound with trucks that have the stock intake set-up and have retained the air silencer.
