5.4 idle problem?

hi guys,

when my truck is warm and is idle, it is at about 600-650 rpm. the truck has a slight vibration threw it when it is idling this low. i don't know if its normal or not. i have no drivability issues with it whatsoever. i used to have a 01 4.2L and i never had a problem. i don't remember what it idled at exactly but it never vibrated, so i never paid too much attention. if someone could tell me if this is normal, and if not, what is wrong and how to fix it that would be great. thanks.

I would start with the IAC valve. Usually just cleaning it will work, but it may also have to be replaced.

Do a search on IAC* if you need more info.

Lot of these trucks have a slight vibration while at idle.

mine had a vibration that started once then went away after a week or so. I chalked it up to bad gas.

60k+ and still smooth as a babies bottom
