1. check fuel filter position
2. clean IAC
3. Coil packs (one may be bad?, there any way to check without a coder?) the reason i ask is because ford dealer wants $120.00 to check the codes i think that is ridiculous.
4. O2 sensor? not sure about this one.
Once again thank you all.

1. couldn't hurt
2. couldn't hurt
3. if a coil pack was bad, the engine would misfire. This would be indicated by a flashing "Service Engine Soon" light rather than a straight light. If the CP was FU$^ED up, then maybe.
4. could be.
Although I have nothing specific to add on thisparticular engine problem, I did want to chime in and say that owning a tool to pull codes, reset light, etc is about as necessary as a good set of sockets if you want to work on these trucks.
For me a laptop based tool (AutoTap) works great ( I already had the laptop). Cost was $200 for the generic, $99 more for Ford specific - expensive at first, but more than paid for in time and especially in parts replaced that were not the cause of the problem.
