Question Changing Fuel Filter?

I HAVE A '99 V8 5.4 F150. IT STARTS UP FINE BUT WON'T STAY RUNNING UNLESS I REIVE THE ENGINE. IT WANTS TO DIE WHENEVER I COME TO A STOP. I THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE THE FUEL FILTER BECAUSE IT HASNT BEEN CHANGED IN A WHILE. DOES ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA OF WHAT IT MIGHT BE. ALSO HOW CAN I FIND THE FUEL SUPPLY MANIFOLD SO THAT I CAN RELIVE THE FUEL PRESSURE.

Sounds like you have a dirty IAC valve. Easily removed and cleaned or replaced.

Good luck

On the passengers side fuel rail (on the engine), there is a Schrader valve which you can depress and it will de-pressurize the lines

Just a note, you might wan't to make sure the engine is NOT HOT if you dump gas into the engine department using this valve...
