I am gonna get pulleys for my 2002 F150 5.4l...Does anyone have any comments about which ones are of good quality? I plan on doing the install myself, looks pretty simple. Thanks

Cool

Got mine from Mike Troyer at http://www.troyerperformance.com

I believe they are made by ASP...

Here's a link to my install write-up from several months ago...

Original pulley install

Not hard, but definitely time consuming...

B-Man, did you ever resolve the low idle issue or discuss it with Mike Troyer? If not did you go back to the factory pullies or do you still have the ASP ones on the truck? If you still have the ASPs what's your impressions thus far?

TIA.

Cool

LE PEW -

I did not go back to the factory pullies. After talking with Mike Troyer, I was out of luck - He insisted that the re-program they did to my SuperChip absolutely did not change my idle. (I installed the re-programmed chip when I did the pullies and electric fans).

Mike stated that the computer in the truck had to re-learn because I had the battery disconnected for the chip install. So, I decided to wait and see.

Well, my idle in gear is still a tad too low, but what can I do ?

I have not had any problems, so I just live with the dimming lights.

I like the throttle response improvement, but to be honest, since I did the electric fans at the same time, who knows which mod is most responsible ?

Hope this helps a little...

I did the ASP pulleys about a year ago and the E-fans from Mike about a month ago.

The pulleys were worth about 8.5 hp on the dyno and the E-fans *seem * to worth twice that much to me.

No trouble at all out of the pulleys or the fans so far. Both mods I could feel from idle on up and they didn't hurt gas mileage any.
