raced a 5.4 regular cab

He had exhaust and AF1 (he had sticker on back window) at least this is the mods I know of. He looked to be a 99' Regular cab flareside 5.4 equipped F150.

I was on my way to work and he was haulin *** and damn near ran into the guy next to me... I was driving normal for a change (trying to stay clean). He then got behind me as I was moving faster than the slow guy just right to me (two lane btw). As soon as I clear that car I moved over and BAM, I see his headlights go sky high and so I jumped on it... dropped it to 2nd at 45mph. All I can say is WOW... those 5.4's have lots of torque as that guy really pulled on me, he did have a jump tho. A little bit down the way traffic cleared and we both jumped on it at 60mph... me low 3rd, him high 2nd. he pulled a half length instantly but as soon as I hit 80mph and got well into my pull range i picked it back up and ended up going to just over 100mph where I was 1 lenght in front of him...

I know with his mods he is at least 15.5 - 15.7 and I pulled on him and passed him up so that should hopefully put me in that range. Now I wanna goto the track to see what I'm running.

I wish I could have raced him from a standstill... I have only raced one 5.4 Reg cab and he was bone stock and I was 1/2 lenght in front of him. He had 33k miles and this was before a few of my mods

God I hope this slipping clutch holds up longer...

Cool

Not passing judgement in any way, but no wonder your insurance is $400 a month.

I get tickets in I even *think* about speeding.

talley,

How much did you spend on your nitrous? How much did it cost to install? Was it worth it?

I bought my kit used for $270 and then added a pressure gauge, wot switch, arm switch and connectors/shrinkwrap for all the wiring for another $55. I also bought new Motorcraft AWSF 22C Copper plugs gapped @ .035 for another $8 I installed my kit myself. total price = $333.

is it worth it.... HELL YEAH!

I use .042 / .028 pills for a rough 75-80 shot. Stock motor and stock fuel system w/ copper plugs will handle this on a properly setup, tuned, USE, and COOL DOWN period nitrous kit...

...Not on the plastic upper intake tho. I am installing my aluminum upper intake as soon as I find a good deal on a 97-00 throttle body.
